Pride Month 2026 Roundup

A Lesbian Bell Tells program

On Friday, June 12th, Belle (Elizabeth McCain) entertained an appreciative crowd at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Hebron, sharing her story of coming out as a lesbian from the South. She was funny, she was moving, and she was vulnerable. Thanks to Father Ron Kolanowski of St. Peter’s for organizing the program, to Nickie Collins for kicking it off by telling the origin story of Small Town Pride, and to the Hebron Greater Together Community Fund of the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation for its support.

Hebron Pride Celebration

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Pride Celebration in Hebron the next day, sponsored by Small Town Pride – CT! We’re grateful to AHM (Andover, Hebron, Marlborough) Youth Services for letting us use their beautiful space, to the Town of Hebron for its support, and to the vendors and resource people. We’re tremendously proud to support our affiliate group, Small Town Pride-CT – who is small but mighty!

As one person who attended today said, “It’s so good for a small town like Hebron to have events like this!” We agree!

East Hampton Pride Stroll

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Pride celebration in East Hampton!

On Saturday, June 25th, East Hampton CT Pride partnered with Village Center merchants to host the Annual Pride Stroll in East Hampton’s historic Village Center.

Residents and families from East Hampton and surrounding towns participated in various pride-related happenings, including a DJ, face painting, a bike decorating parade and contest, Once Upon A Queen Story Time with Miss Summer Orlando, 20+ vendor and resource tables, and other pride-themed merchant specials and activities. The evening ended with a 21+ Pride Karaoke event at Rule of 3 Brewing.

“With the extremely polarized state of the world in regard to LGBTQ+ matters, it is more important than ever to reflect boldly affirming love, support, acceptance, and visibility for our queer community members,” said East Hampton Pride founder Stephanie Heine. “We were so excited to see so many new faces from across the state coming together to join in love and unity, and we look forward to hosting another wonderful event next year.”
