Pride Celebrations coming to Hebron and East Hampton

CoDE’s affiliates, Small Town Pride CT, based in Hebron, and East Hampton CT Pride are planning a series of events and fun to celebrate Pride Month! We hope you’ll join us, and spread the word!

A Lesbian Belle Tells

June 12, 6:30 – 8pm

St. Peter’s Church, Hebron

A collaboration between St. Peter’s Church and Small Town Pride CT

In this time of great uncertainty, one way to combat anxiety is through humorous storytelling. Elizabeth McCain developed a humorous one-woman play based on her real-life events. The material of McCain’s play resembles talented writers’ styles such as Dorothy Allison’s honesty, Julia Reed’s Southern sass and irreverence, and David Sedaris’s satirical wit.

A Lesbian Belle Tells affirms and validates the LGBTQ+ community and beyond, with universal themes of self-discovery, acceptance, family struggles, forgiveness, loss, and love. McCain spins stories with a beating heart and dispenses a powerful dose of medicine for the soul to heal just about anything.

McCain is the author of a compelling memoir, A Lesbian Belle Tells OUTrageous Southern Stories of Family, Loss, and Love, published in 2020.

Register here (tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for youth).
