Graduating high school seniors who are committed to community service and the pursuit of social justice are invited to apply for the inaugural CoDE Social Justice Scholarship.
CoDE will provide $2,500 to a graduating high school senior from Andover, Columbia, Hebron or Marlborough who will attend a 2- or 4-year college or university or vocational or technical school. Additional $500 awards will be made if sufficient donations are received.
As part of the application, students will be asked to write an essay describing what social justice means to them as a resident of eastern CT, and to describe a time when they spoke out about social justice.
The Scholarship Fund was created to ensure that promising students, regardless of their financial circumstances, have the chance to pursue an education that empowers them to transform their communities. These scholars are future educators, lawyers, artists, researchers, and innovators who carry with them a vision of a world where every person is treated with dignity and respect.
The deadline to apply for the CoDE Social Justice Scholarship Fund is April 1, 2027.
