CoDE Social Justice Scholarship Fund

In moments when our communities are calling out for fairness, compassion, and opportunity for all, each of us has the power to help build a more just future. One of the most meaningful ways we can do that is by investing in the next generation of leaders — those who are committed to community service and the pursuit of social justice.

The CoDE Social Justice Scholarship Fund was created to ensure that promising students, regardless of their financial circumstances, have the chance to pursue an education that empowers them to transform their communities. These scholars are future educators, lawyers, artists, researchers, and innovators who carry with them a vision of a world where every person is treated with dignity and respect.

Your contribution — no matter the size — directly expands access to higher education for students who are driven to create change. It offers not just financial support, but a powerful message: that their voice matters, that their belief in social justice work has value, and that their community believes in their potential.

The goal of the CoDE Social Justice Scholarship is to provide $2,500 to a graduating high school senior from Andover, Columbia, Hebron or Marlborough who will attend a 2- or 4-year college or university or vocational or technical school. Additional $500 awards will be made if sufficient donations are received. With their application, students will be asked to write an essay describing what social justice means to them as a resident of eastern CT, and to describe a time when they spoke out about social justice.

We invite you to be part of this inaugural year of the CoDE Social Justice Scholarship Fund. With your donation, you become part of a collective effort to break down barriers, nurture leadership, and uplift those who will shape a more just and compassionate future for all of us.

Thank you for considering this important opportunity and for standing with the students who are striving to make a difference!
