Community members are invited to gather to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 16th 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The event is sponsored by the Coalition of Diversity & Equity (CoDE) and will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s Phelps Hall, 30 Church Street in Hebron.
Dinner will be provided, beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by a film at 7pm. The film is Episode 4 of the PBS series, Making Black America, which will run for 1 hour. At 8pm, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the film in small groups.
There is no charge, but donations to cover the cost of food will be gratefully accepted. Registration is requested; email the hosts at firstname.lastname@example.org, stating the number of people attending. The deadline for registration is Saturday, Jan. 14 by noon.
