Our 2025 Pride Celebration in Hebron (Small Town Pride – Connecticut’s third annual) – was a wonderful event! From the minute you walked into the Parish Hall at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, you knew you were in a safe, welcoming, loving space.
We are grateful to everyone show showed up to learn, connect, share information and support, and to celebrate our LGBTQ Community!
The panel discussion featuring faith leaders from Connecticut who are also members of the LGBTQ community was honest, realistic, and also uplifting. The panelists busted some myths but also talked honestly about the actions of some organized religions. They affirmed that religion is rooted in love and that there is space for all in a welcoming faith community such as the ones the three represent. Many thanks to:
Ron Kolanowski (Father Ron)
Pastor, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Hebron
Aaron Miller (Pastor Elder Aaron)
Senior Pastor at Metropolitan Community Church of Hartford
Jay Woods (Father Jay)
Priest at Franciscan Friars of the Province of Our Lady of Guadalupe
And our knowledgeable and skillful moderator Lindsey Pasquale of Hebron. Lindsey is active with Small Town Pride, Coalition on Diversity & Equity (CoDE), PFLAG Hartford, and PFLAG National.
Kudos to Nickie and Grace Collins, Lindsey Pasquale, and Father Ron Kolanowski — and everyone who was part of this beautiful event!
